  2. 2 CFR 200.302 Financial Management The financial management system of each non-Federal entity must provide the following: Identify accounts of all Federal awards received and expended. Provide accurate, current, and complete disclosure of the financial results of the federal award in accordance with the reporting requirements. Written Fiscal Policies (Procurement) Provide records that contain information pertaining to the federal award/program Obligated/Unobligated expenditures, Trial Balance, Income Statements along with source documents.   4. To align with GATA, periodic performance reports (PPR) are required for all grants administered by the State of Illinois. Periodic Periodic Performance Performance Report Report PPR Supporting Documentation Collects performance measurement information from grantees. Grantees must include a PDF copy of the Periodic Performance Report covering the date range of the PPR. Additional requirements for the PPR include: A cover page must be submitted that includes the grant #, grantee organization, DUNS #, FEIN, and period covered by the PPR. All supporting documentation is to be submitted in a single PDF. Naming convention grant number, PPR Support, and last date of reporting period

  5. Periodic Financial Report Periodic Financial Report PFR is a standard uniform statewide financial reporting format used by all state agencies. Grant number should correspond with the grant number on the agreement. Individual signing the reports should be an authorized individual on the grant agreement or an authorized designee. Reports are considered late if more than 15 calendar days past the due date. All category/program expense lines must be consistent with the approved budget. Monday, April 24, 2017

Trial Balance vs General Ledger Trial Balance vs General Ledger The primary difference between general ledger and trial balance is that general ledger prepared by the company is the set of the different master accounts in which the detailed transactions of the business are present having all the accounts, whereas, the trial balance of the company has only the ending balance present in those accounts of the company.   8. Design training curricula and related materials All grant expenditures must comply with 2 CFR 200 and cost should be reasonable, applicable, and necessary for the grant program. Design and implementation of a needs assessment Allowable Grant Allowable Grant Costs Costs Stipends Approved Expenses*: Professional Development and certifications for staff and instructors *Expenditures must be entered by the 20th of each month in GRS of the following month.   9. Monitoring Monitoring Each grantee will go through a least one monitoring event during the grant award period. Each monitoring event will consist of programmatic and fiscal monitors. The purpose of monitoring is to review compliance of the grant program as stated in the notice of award, federal regulations, the Uniform Guidance, state rules, and DCEO/local grantee policies. Provides reasonable assurance that that systems are in place to administer programs and grantees are in compliance with applicable rules. Monday, April 24, 2017
