General Support Guide for HQ WA AAC BDE Finance Transport Accommodation Rations/Messing
Financial Support per Financial year HQ WA AAC BDE Support is dependant on available Operating Expenses (OE) Budget /Cash This is allocated to (in priority order): 1. WA AAC BDE AFX- This activity is HQ WA AAC BDE s Main Effort and COMD AAC s focus. 2. HQ WA AAC BDE - Promotion courses - CUO/WO and Senior Leaders. 3. Each Battalion - 2x Nominated activities- Covers bus hire and portaloos only (OICs must provide 2 quotes prior to activity for approval). 4. ACU - ACU do not receive financial support from the BDE OE Budget. EIG- Accommodation DHA Business rules vary for each site. Minors and Adults should not be in same barrack block (although capacity limitations and risk management steps will be looked at for each event) Agreed Support- EIG Pays EIG pays for accommodation on AFX and Promotion courses (AFX, Senior Leaders, CUO/WO, Adult courses, ATA/ CACTC, some other transit accommodation). Unit Activities- Barracks accommodation may be offered if available. If the accommodation is sought outside an approved activity, the AAC member may be have to pay board costs. HQ WA AAC BDE will clarify when requested.
EIG Messing Agreed Support- EIG Pays EIG will pay for mess meals for AFX and BDE Promotion courses (AFX, Senior Leaders, CUO/WO, Adult courses/Transit). Unit Activities - Units may request use of Messes for meals. Each member pays at Defence s subsidised rate per meal. Universal Ration Packs (URP) (Old name - Hunger Busters) Dependent on stock holdings - AFX - 3 Days URP per CDT and ACS - Recruit course - 1 Day URP per CDT Recruit - Courses camp 2 Days URP per CDT and ACS ADF entitled to CR1M. ADF are not to consume URP. AAC are not to consume CR1M, due to different dietary tolerances between organisations.
Defence Vehicle Support Agreed support (EIG paid transport) AFX busses only HQ/BN/ACU - Service request submitted for each vehicle. No cost. Small vehicles such as 4WD and Sprinters are generally sourced from Leeuwin, Stirling, Pearce and local ADF units. - Available for all activities, dependent on availability and drivers blue book qualifications. - HQ Pajero and Q-truck are always in high demand. Ask early. Vehicles (most green vehicles and trucks) from JLU West-Palmer Barracks: - Availability is dependant on HQ/BN/ACU forecast submissions to OPSWO. - Submit requests - Prior to 1 Oct 2019 for loan period Jan- Apr 2020 - NLT 1 Mar 2020 for loan period May-Aug 2020 - NLT 1 Jun 2020 for loan period Sep-Dec 2020
