FAOSD Background The FAOSD program was developed according to ICAO Doc 8335 procedures regarding commercial transport operations by foreign operators, Part VI State responsibilities regarding commercial air transport operations by foreign operators and Doc 7300 Convention on International Civil Aviation The FAOSD program is a web-based reporting system created for storing and sharing information on ramp inspections among the civil aviation authorities of APAC states The FAOSD website was implemented in August 2011 & it is hosted at ICAO ICT HQ, Montreal Foreign Air Operator Surveillance Database 2

  3. FAOSD Program Objective and Scope The objective of the FAOSD program is to create a database through safety-ramp inspections. FAOSD provides a reference source in order to identify and analyze problems related to safety Statistics provided by FAOSD as a safety tool can be used to improve safety and prevent civil aviation accidents and incidents. The FAOSD Program is applicable to all foreign air operators using aircraft having Minimum Certified Takeoff Mass (MCTM) 5700 Kg and conducting operations in the APAC States.   4. FAOSD Database structure The FAOSD database structure has been implemented according to ICAO Codes.
