This initiative focuses on providing diverse internationalization opportunities for students through physical, blended, and virtual mobility events, short-term mobility grants, shared tutored projects, team-teaching, tandem learning, buddy programs, and thematic semesters. Collaborating universities aim to enhance student mobility and academic experiences within the FORTHEM network.

Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility Physical, blended and virtual mobility opportunities 1/2 Collective short-term mobility events for students: one-week intensive courses, student conferences, cultural events organised by 2-3 FORTHEM universities or student organisations Individual short-term mobility grants for students who want to spend up to 10 days in another F-university to carry out fieldwork, research for a thesis, take part in a language course etc. Shared Tutored Projects: virtual collaboration involving students and teachers from two or more F-universities to carry out a project with supervisors from partner uni s Team-teaching: two teachers (of same subject area) from different F-universities share part of their teaching online and organise joint group work for students

Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility Physical, blended and virtual mobility opportunities 2/2 Tandem Learning: supervised tandem learning included in credit-awarding courses (particularly in languages) or unsupervised tandem learning of individual students FORTHEM Buddying`- initiative: Buddy programme for 1st year students, Bachelor or Master s Thesis Buddying etc. FORTHEM Campus: jointly organised thematically oriented semester that gathers students from all FORTHEM universities on rotating hosting campuses FORTHEM Digital Academy: an online platform set up in Moodle for virtual mobility and joint offer of online courses (both MOOCs and supervised modules); launched in Sept 2021 with language courses of all FORTHEM languages.

Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility Outreach opportunities for students FORTHEM Civic Engagement Projects: Funding and coaching for student-driven projects (students from at least three F-universities) first two projects are in motion, second call is open Training: online course on project management basics Internship placement network being set upwith local companies and public and third sector employers a couple of virtual internships implemented in Spring 2021 School Internships: placements targeted for FORTHEM students of teacher training programmes in the local schools in each of the FORTHEM university area

Fostering Outreach within European Regions, Transnational Higher Education and Mobility Students co-creators in Labs FORTHEM Labs for Research, Education and Innovation: expert teams consisting of academics and students from all FORTHEM universities as well as third, public and/or private sector representatives, seeking research-based solutions to organization-specific, regional or European challenges. Seven interdisciplinary topics. Facilitate challenge-driven research and education Provide also Bachelor and Master-level students with possibilities to be involved in research activities in an transnational team Provide internship and work opportunities (as student assistant)
