grammaire Saying to... in French Remember! To say to a place such as a village, town or city in French, we use the preposition on its own: Paris to Paris There are some other ways of saying to (and similar ideas) in French. If you want to talk about going to someone s house, or to someone s place, you use chez. This includes going to the doctor s, the dentist s, etc. For example: je vais chez L a tu vas chez le m decin I go / I am going to L a s house you go / you are going to the doctor s
grammaire Saying to... in French We use the preposition en when talking about... ...going to most countries: Prepositions don t always translate word _____ en cosse il va he goes / he is going to Scotland for word across languages, and often have more than one ...going into town: meaning, she goes / she is going into town e.g. en translates as to , into and on in _______ en ville elle va ...going on holiday: English. ___________ en vacances nous allons we go / we are going on holiday
