Research Highlights Research Highlights Health and hygiene was ranked of highest importance with industry community members. PAC respondents ranked adjacent land use of highest importance. Grower and technical assistance groups similarly ranked priorities. Priority rankings differed by operation size.

Fresh Produce Industry Priorities Fresh Produce Industry Priorities Food safety professionals who provide technical assistance to the fresh produce industry ranked food safety priorities similarly to fresh produce growers. This finding suggests that growers and technical assistance professionals agree on how to prioritize the variety of food safety concerns that impact fresh produce production.

Produce Advisory Committee Priorities Produce Advisory Committee Priorities The PAC ranked adjacent land as their top food safety priority, followed by preharvest water , EMPs , BSAAO , and postharvest sanitation . The ranking behavior of PAC respondents aligned with the emerging topics that have been discussed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as vulnerabilities in the production of fresh produce.
