  1. This weeks Peace at Last inspired challenges are

  2. Challenge 1 Mr Bear cannot sleep in his house because it is just too noisy! Do you remember what noises he could hear inside his house? Go on a sound walk around your home. What noises can you hear?

  3. Challenge 2 Mr Bear cannot sleep outside in his garden either. He shows us this by saying Oh no! I can t stand this! Go on a listening walk outside either in your garden or on your daily walk. What noises did you hear? Were they the same as the noises you heard inside?

  4. Challenge 3 All of the characters in the story are bears. Bear begins with the b sound. How many objects in your home can you find that begin with b ?

  5. Challenge 4 Peace at Last is set at night time. We know this because we can see the moon on the illustrations. What other clues in the story show us it is night time? If you were to travel to the moon how would you get there? Would it be in Baby Bears aeroplane? Or Daddy Bears car? Or would you get there a different way. Make something that you would use to travel to the moon.

  6. Challenge 5 At the end of the story Mummy Bear and Baby Bear help a tired Mr Bear by bringing him a cup of tea and letters that came in the post. Is there anything at home that you could help your grown ups with? E.g. washing dishes, tidying, setting the table for meals, looking after younger siblings
