  2. Study Programmes 16-19 year olds (and 19-23s with EHCP) Para 40.f of 21/22 Funding Guidance explicitly mentions Asylum Seekers as fundable with no reference to any period of stay Note the details of their ARC DO NOT COPY DOCUMENTATION (para 77)

  3. Apprenticeships Although the App funding rules use the same formulation as AEB (Para 395 20/21 V5) there s a problem Asylum Seekers can t work, so can t be an Apprentice Representations have been made to clarify this, but nothing yet

  4. Adult Education Budget Para 44 (20/21 Rules V5) Asylum seekers are eligible to receive funding if they: 44.1. have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office, and no decision on their claim has been made, or 44.2. are receiving local authority support under section 23C or section 23CA of the Children Act 1989 or the Care Act 2014

  5. Adult Education Budget Asylum Seekers and Learner Support Fund, para 245 (20/21 Rules V5) 245. If an asylum seeker is eligible for provision, you may provide learner support in the form of course-related books, equipment or a travel pass. You must not give a learner who is an asylum seeker support in the form of cash

  6. Adult Education Budget As Asylum Seekers are not in receipt of state benefit OR low- waged (because they cannot work) they fall between the gaps and are co-funded 244. In exceptional circumstances, you can use hardship funds to assist with course fees for learners who need financial support to start or stay in learning.

  7. Ruth Hayman Trust Established by NATECLA in memory of Ruth Hayman Provide support with fees for anyone who lives in the UK and whose first language is not English The majority of award recipients are seeking sanctuary The majority of awards are for FE provision Supported 183 learners from 42 countries and gave over 70k in grants in 19/20 Entirely volunteer run, over 98% of donations go out as awards
