Successful Recruitment of Principal On June 27, 2024, the Board approved the appointment of Laurie LaMondie as Cooperstown's Jr./Sr. High School Principal Effective July 22, 2024 Recruitment occurred over 4-month period Ms. LaMondie brings over 20 years of experience to CCSD Returning to Central NY after serving students in Florida s Volusia County Public Schools since 2004. Past seven years has served as an Assistant Principal in a grade 6-12 building with approximately 1,100 students. Experience supervising faculty and staff, coordinating special education services, providing professional development, and developing positive relations with the community.

2021 Capital Project Phase II Significant progress has been made on the capital project through the month of June. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing rough-ins in the Elementary School locker room and gymnasium as well as the masonry walls and partitions are nearing completion. Demolition of the gymnasium ceiling and the installation of the divider track have been completed. New gymnasium light fixtures have been installed and will be adjusted along with the ceiling grid installation. With the end of classes on 6/26, demolition of the classroom ceilings and lights began on 6/27 and will continue. Jr./ Sr. High School entrance work, scheduled is to begin on 7/9
Snack Shack Renovations Donation from Cooperstown Sports Booster Club Building design plans completed by Booster Club have been completed and submitted to District Architect District Architect currently reviewing all documents and will submit the project application to NYSED once all materials are complete
