Board The GEECT board in the period will be composed by: Manuel Jos Dam sio, Chair Universidade Lus fona (DCAM/ULHT), Portugal (leaving) Guido Lukoschek, Vice-Chair - Filmakademie Baden-W rttemberg (FABW), Germany Jyoti Mistry, Member - Valand Academy (HDK), Sweden Patrick Geeraerts, Member - Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema & Sound (RITCS), Belgium Jana Keeble, Member - Film and Television Faculty (VSMU), Slovakia

  3. Governance and Management Ensuring that the board meets on a regular basis and mostly online Including the new Admin and Comms coordinator Kirsi Rinne with the following tasks: facilitation of processes, implementation of strategic procedures and managing, writing, communication and coordination of GEECT events and its activities. The treasurer will prepare a revised scheme for the reimbursement of travel costs for GEECT board members. The new amounts will be based on the inflation in the Euro-Zone since the drafting of the scheme in 2016. The new scheme will be presented to the GEECT membership in Beijing.

  4. Governance and Management: Task forces Statutes and Mission completed the work at the Bratislava Leadership symposium in June 2024 Fees Structure completed the work at the Bratislava Leadership symposium in June 2024 The above documents will be on the agenda of the Beijing Congress. In addition to the symposium presentations, the Equity and Diversity task is gathering information on the best practices. These will be published on the GEECT web page.

  5. Conferences and Events The aim is to organize regular flux of activities, both smaller meetings and thematic events call for the leadership symposium, hosted by whoever comes the next pj and board members host the leadership symposium 1 Geect regional meeting on Oct. 22 and 23 at the Cilect congress in Beijing 2 Reinforcing Leadership symposium To create both spaces for reflection and networking for the leadership of the schools. Possibly with a specific theme, such as how to lead diversity processes at film schools.

  6. Conferences and Events 3 Teachers Academy A space to interact, capacitate and discuss the relevant themes, also from the pedagogical point of view. 4 To reinforce research capacities and activities 5 Informal lunches, coffees etc. at the festivals

  7. Support and interaction Geect supports financially 1 yearly conference and 2 thematic meetings. See instructions at https://geect.org/activities/ Possible to engage the Admin&Comms coordinator in the event organization.

  8. International Collaboration Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program Geect board to sponsor mobility agreements between partner school in organizing joint bips blended intensive program with Erasmus+ funding

  9. Participation in the EU funded projects Horizon Europe, Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society : Upcoming call: AI in the creative industries Creative Hubs Creative Europe

  10. Publications International Journal or Film & Media Arts calls Guides for best practices, new initiative case studies, define procedure for info collection Resources and Best Practices sections will be added to the web site

  11. Communication and PR In the period we will continue to pursue our regular communication efforts: website, newsletters and eflyers. Creation of common repository to the web page Development and updating of the Directory

  12. Information request a reminder Equity, diversity and inclusion Collection of best practices and recommendations to promote equity, diversity and inclusion Any initiatives, projects, studies or recommendations you are aware of or your school is carrying out or involved in at the moment.
