Group three GENDER ISSUES WITH SDGS 3,4,5&8
Issues of SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages Maternal Mortality ; Death due to preventable causes for newborns under five; Accessibility and usage of family planning for women aged 15-49 years; Early pregnancies among adolescents (10-19)years; Access to safe water
Issues equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all of SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and Access to equitable and quality primary and secondary education; Access to early childhood education; Access to Business Technical Vocational Education and Training; Education facilities not condusive to special interest groups for example sanitation facilities for boys, girls and PWDs; Underqualified teachers.
Issues of SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls Discrimination against all women and girls everywhere; Violence against all women and girls; Harmful practices like female GBV, forced marriages and child sacrifices; Non-recognition of unpaid domestic and care work; Shared responsibilities between men and women.
Issues of SDG 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all Youth Unemployment; Full production and descent work for all women and men; Non-enforcement of labour rights to promote safe and secure working environment; Access to financial services for all; Child labour, human trafficking and child soldiers
