Genesis Series!! God & Creation Part1 These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. Genesis 2:4 Genesis 2:4
Who is the God of all creations. Jehovah Elohim!!! God is wise, almighty and sovereign God is wise, almighty and sovereign Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases Psalm 115:3 Psalm 115:3 God is just, righteous and holy God is just, righteous and holy But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice, and the Holy God shows himself holy in righteousness Isaiah 5:16 God is gracious and merciful God is gracious and merciful Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; our God is merciful Psalm 116:5 Psalm 116:5 God is caring and loving God is caring and loving For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life John 3:16 God s invisible attributes God s invisible attributes For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. Let us read Genesis 1:1-31 to 2:4 The creation story!! First day: Light and darkness (verses 3-5). Second day: The firmament (Heaven) separating the waters (verses 6-8). Third day: Dry land and vegetation (verses 9-13). Fourth day: Heavenly bodies; sun, moon, stars (verses 14-19). Fifth day: Inhabitants of the waters and the birds (verses 20-23). Sixth day: Land animals and man (verses 24-25). Seventh day - God finished his work of creation and rested, making the seventh day a special holy day. The God of heaven and earth created all things by His word!! With His very word he declared and spoke all that we see and know into existence. His word is power His word is life.
Jesus Christ in the midst of the creation of all things!! In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made John 1:1 John 1:1- -3 3 Jesus Christ is the center of all creation!! He is the beginning and the end He is the definition of life; that which is seen and that which is unseen. In Him is all the Fathers purpose and plan revealed. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together Colossians 1:15 Colossians 1:15- -17 17
What does the creation of Heaven and earth say about God? God s power. We see the power of God revealed all over creation. God s glory. The vast size of the universe shows us how big and glorious God is. God s creativity. We see God s creativity in the variety of unique animals God makes. God s goodness. The goodness of God can be demonstrated through the rain that falls on crops providing food for humans and animals. God s love. We even see the love of God revealed in creation. We see this love in the way that parents (both human and animal) instinctively look after their young. We see it in the way that creation provides for the needs of all living creatures. Romans 1:20 Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you Jeremiah 32:17
