Executive Chairmans Remarks Thank you for accepting Ghana Bauxite Company Limited (GBC) to be part of this summit. We would have wished to be there with you but for Covid-19 restrictions. As you may have seen in the news in this year, a Ghanaian Company OPCL successfully acquired GBC from Bosai Mineral Group. There has been massive expansion in all aspects of the Company s operations after the acquisition; from the mine, haulage and the shipping port. We are glad to inform you that we have started shipping to the China market already this year. We are able to load cape size vessels from December this year. GBC is open to do business with you. Company profile Ghana Bauxite Company Limited ("GBC ) has been operating in Awaso, Ghana - West Africa since the 1940s and produces premium trihydrate bauxite with typical alumina (Al2O3) content of 52% and low Silica of 1.5%. Over the past decade, GBC has shipped on average, 1.2 million tons per annum and with the ongoing mine expansion, production is expected to exceed 5 million tons per annum in 2023. The bulk jetty expansion at GBC shipping port of Takoradi, Ghana has afforded the Company to load Cape Size Vessels from December 2022.
Ownership Ghana Bauxite Company is a wholly owned Ghanaian Company: Ofori-Poku Company Limited (OPCL) 80% Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC) 20%
Estimated Reserves Our current reserves is estimated at 250 million Metric Tonnes with potential to acquire further concessions.
Loading Capacity The Company can load Cape Size Vessels from December, 2022. An efficient loading system of high speed conveyor with the capacity of 2,500 MT per hour minimum has been installed and scheduled to be commissioned by the end of November, 2022.
