Table of content : Introduction The challenges of globalization Conclusion References 2
Globalization : It is the interaction and interconnection of people, governments, and companies around the world and it allows people, goods, services, ideas, languages, and information to flow across national borders all the time. Globalization makes the world smaller as it connects people and companies from all around the world. 3
Challenges of Globalization : 1. Managing Employee Immigration : Immigration laws change often, and in some countries it s extremely difficult to secure visas for employees that are foreign nationals. 2. Incurring Tarrifs and Export Fees : For companies looking to sell products abroad, getting those items overseas can be expensive, depending on the market. 3. Payroll and Compliance Challenges : Another global expansion obstacle is managing overseas payroll and maintaining compliance with changing employment and tax laws. 4. Loss of Cultural Identity : While globalization has made foreign countries easier to access, it has also begun to meld unique societies together. The success of certain cultures throughout the world caused other countries to emulate them, but when cultures begin to lose their distinctive features, we lose our global diversity. 4
Conclusion : The disadvantages of globalization generally refer to wider socio-political issues that all governments and companies have to face. You will need to be aware of these in order to build an effective global expansion strategy for your business. 5
