GOD, IS THAT REALLY YOU? Exodus 34:6-7 and beyond
EXODUS 34:6-7A 6The LORD (I AM) passed in front of Moses, calling out, Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. 7I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin.
EXODUS 34:7B 7But I do not leave the guilty unpunished. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and their grandchildren; the entire family is affected, even children in the third and fourth generations.
EZEKIEL 18:23 Do you think that I take delight in the death of the wicked? , says the Sovereign LORD. NO WAY! MAY IT NEVER BE! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and turn to Me and live.
EZEKIEL 18:20 (In the end) The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness.
