How Do Gods Promises work to make me a sharer in God s divine nature? by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, 2 Pet. 1:4
Gods Precious and Exceeding Great God s Precious and Exceeding Great Promises Promises Two-fold Goal Granted: things pertaining to life eternal and godly living (2 Pet. 1:3) Eternal life is a promise from God (I Jn. 2:25, Titus 1:2) Eternal life is of upmost value (I Pet. 1:4) Eternal life is only for transformed people (I Pet. 1:3, I Cor. 15:50) Means: Knowledge of God (2 Pet. 1:3) The seed of the Gospel (I Pet. 1:23-25) Source: God s divine power (2 Pet. 1:3) Guarded by God s Power (I Pet. 1:5)
