  1. Diploma Choices There are two choices for graduating: TOPS College University or Career JumpStart Students usually begin in the TOPS College University diploma. Students who plan to go straight from high school to a four-year college (Example: McNeese) or university should stay in this pathway. If a student chooses the Career JumpStart diploma a parent/guardian must meet with their student s counselor to sign into the JumpStart pathway. This is usually done by the end of the sophomore year. This diploma allows you to go to a technical school, a two-year college (Example: Sowela), cosmetology school, the military, or to enter the workforce. Students are still eligible to attend a four-year university but must take the required courses at a community/technical college before they will be admitted to the four- year university.
