Required Units Graduation Requirements Required Courses 1 Unit each: 1 Unit 9th grade Literature/Composition 1 Unit American Literature/ Composition 2 additional English units English 4 4 Units Including: GSE Algebra 1 or GSE Algebra/Analytical Geometry A GSE Analytical Geometry or Analytical Geo. B/ Adv. Algebra GSE Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus 4th Year Choice Math Mathematics 4 1 Unit each: 1 Unit Biology 1 Unit Chemistry or Environmental Science 1 Unit Physics or Physical Science 1 additional science Science 4 1 Unit each: 1 Unit World History 1 Unit U.S. History Unit American Government/Civics Unit Economics Social Science 3 Unit each: Unit of Health Unit of Personal Fitness Students must earn three units of credit in a coherent sequence of CTAE course through a self-selected pathway leading to college readiness and a career readiness certificate endorsed by related industries. 1 Health/Physical Education CTAE Modern Language/Latin 3 Modern Language/Latin All students are encouraged to earn 2 units of credit in the same language. Students planning to enter or transfer into a University System of Georgia MUST take two units of the same modern language. Electives 4 4 Units in addition to courses prescribed above Total Units Required to Graduate 23
