  14. Senior Year Can Be A lotMake Sure To Take Care of Yourself! The best way to manage yourself and your emotions is to - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Hydrate. Drink plenty of WATER. Soda and juice are NOT water. Sleep. As a (developing) human, you need 7-9 HOURS of sleep a day to function properly. Rest. Take BRAIN breaks and get off screens. Go outside. Get creative. Here are some COPING SKILLS you could try: Emotional: write a positive note to yourself, talk about your feelings, draw or color, journal, etc. Physical: go for a walk, take a hike, ride your bike, do yoga, jump rope, etc. Spiritual: gratitude list, go outside, write a thank you note, pray, etc. Mental: read, meditate, make a vision board, play solitaire, etc. Practical: clean up, make a list, have a morning and evening routine, etc. Social: play in park, call a friend instead of text, say hello to a neighbor, facetime a relative Necesita servicio en Espa ol oprimir Breakout Room para interprete disponible.

  15. Social Emotional Support SEL (Social Emotional Learning) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. We have created a Social/Emotional Health Resources page on our website and a Canvas module. Please refer to them as needed. If you need support, reach out to a TRUSTED adult (parent, teacher, Counselor). This season is new and stressful for us all, but we can get through it together! Take advantage of Student Services calming room if you need 15-20 minutes to yourself to just breathe or deescalate. Necesita servicio en Espa ol oprimir Breakout Room para interprete disponible.
