  1. 2024 SEMP Reporting Guide Instructions for Reporting Energy Consumption in State Owned and Leased Facilities

  2. SEMP Statute 255.257 ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND COST DATA. Each state agency shall collect data on energy consumption and cost for all state-owned facilities and metered state- leased facilities. These data will be used in the computation of the effectiveness of the state energy management plan and the effectiveness of the energy management program of each of the state agencies. Collected data shall be reported annually to the department in a format prescribed by the department. Energy management; buildings occupied by state agencies. (1)

  9. Reporting Steps 1. Gather a list of agency owned or leased facilities 2. Eliminate any facility less than 5,000 square feet 3. Eliminate any facility where no utility bills are directly paid 4. Eliminate any facility where no gas or electricity is billed 5.Record on the simplified form total electricity (KWH) and cost by month 6. Record on the simplified form total Gas (CCF or Therms) and cost by month 7. Email completed forms to Dept. of Management Services

  10. The Reporting Form 1. In most cases, your agency has pre-made forms for the facilities they lease or own from previous reporting years. These forms will already have your agency s information filled in. Please check this information for accuracy. 2. If a facility is missing: Make a copy, in the same folder, of existing form. Change the name of the new copy to the missing facility name. Change the information on the new form to the appropriate title, square footage, and address.
