Prayers for certain Purposes Exercises of the chapter
Pg. no. 97 Muslims will pray 2 ra kah Eclipse Prayer individually. It is recommended that it be performed in house. Muslims will pray 2 rakah in congregation, the Imam will deliver 2 sermons and make lots of du aas for rain. He should pray 2 rakah as Istikhara prayer, asking Allah for the better decision.

Pg. no. 99 Solar or lunar eclipse are the signs of Allah s creation and they do not occur due to anyone s death. Prophet Muhammad (sal .) taught us to turn to Allah during this time, to pray, seek forgiveness and make a lot of du aas.
Pg. no. 100 The solar eclipse prayer has 2 Qiyaam, 2 rukoo and 2 sujood in first rakah, the same 2 Qiyaam, 2 rukoo and 2 sujood in second rakah (altogether 4 Qiyaam, 4 rukoo & 4 sujood) That s why it is different from other prayers. Nowadays it is easy to find out the dates for eclipses through meteorology, hence it is easy to perform the sunnah prayers on the prescribed occasions.

Pg. no. 102 A consultation in a certain matter would be done from the well wishers, family and friends, this is also a sunnah. The istikhara prayer would be done for seeking Allah s guidance and entrusting Him to choose the best for us. An advisor should be a well wisher, trustworthy, sincere and an honest person who can guide someone in the best possible way. We can consult the AWQAF centers and sharia courts in UAE when we have doubts regarding any jurisprudential rule.

Pg. no. 106 We learnt from the sunnah of our Prophet to pray for rain at the time of drought, showing humbleness and humility in front of Allah, seeking His mercy. We learnt from the sunnah that our Prophet prayed for rain, he turned his outer garment around and made duaa to Allah for the rain.
Pg. no. 108 Solar eclipse is the sign of the creation of Allah, we need to remember Allah more by supplicating and by praying the Eclipse prayer.
