Themes/Tracking/Work Ahead
Themes Organizations are currently collecting race and ethnicity as separate asks Census and REALD data comparison/alignment issues Asking same question twice Data crosswalks from REALD to UDS may bepartof the solution to meet theirreportingneeds to HRSA OCHIN will be updating their system to collect the 900+ options in the CDC Standard (which complies with the eCR standard) however, the CDC standard does not include the REALD categories of Slavic and Somali 5
Things we are tracking 1. REALD rollup to current scenario where race is un-reported and ethnicity is non-Hispanic REALD changes the way questions are asked/HRSA does not specify 2. Using REALD for county comparisons that are based on the OMB data Interest from the group to learn more about county level REALD denominator data?
Tiger Team Work Ahead Cross-walking REALD to OMB categories for federal reporting (namely UDS) Data Data Collecting REALD questions in a way that aligns with collection requirements for HRSA/UDS reporting Workflow Workflow Addressing gaps where national standards may not easily rollup to REALD Standards Standards
