Summary timeline (1/3) March 2015 July to October 2015 April 2015 First 20 years of the journey towards the vision of Healthy Islands in the Pacific PHMM Secretariat develop draft framework (Version 1.0) Side-meeting at 66th Session of WHO Regional Committee meeting Eleventh Pacific Health Ministers Meeting recommends: Monitor progress and achievements towards the Healthy Islands vision Four working groups established for review 3

Summary timeline (2/3) March 2016 February 2016 April 2016 Feedback from country health information managers and senior health information officers, and regional partners Side-meeting held at the Pacific CRVS Regional Meeting Version 3.0 was reviewed by Heads of Health and 52 mandatory indicators were endorsed by them Version 2.0 developed Version 3.0 developed 4

Summary timeline (3/3) Jan Mar 2017 May Dec 2016 April 2017 Data collection form has been developed by the Secretariat and data collection has been started Detailed definition of each mandatory indicator was discussed by HIS managers (version 4.0) First draft report will be available at the HoH meeting (version 5.0) 5

Agreed principles Heads of Health to oversee process SDGs an important element Goal is not to replicate other frameworks Indicators must include a range of process and outcome measures Need indicators that can show change on an annual basis Need indicators that can track progress towards bigger outcomes Framework to include core/minimum indicators, with optional reporting on expanded/complementary 6

Version 5.0 52 mandatory indicators Where possible, indicators have been sourced from global frameworks (i.e. SDGs) 36 core indicators can be collected via routine administrative systems 16 complementary indicators require surveys for their collection Reporting mechanism The Secretariat (WHO and SPC Public Health) to collect data from existing sources first and ask countries validation later 7
