DAILY HERALD (MODEL) SHANE THE SAVIOR Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of their arduous journey. Later on that evening, Shane came across a malicious dog that tried to attack them. Fearing for his life, the little cat fled up a tree for safety. It was here he got stuck and due to heavy winds that blew that night ,at any moment he may be blown down to his death. Mr. Barnard Chief Editor Its not everyday we get to hear about a local hero but today is that day. Local boy Shane from East London, saved a little cat from the clutches of an evil dog and nearly risked his life saving that same cat stranded up a tree. It was then without thinking about his own safety Shane climbed the tree to the cats rescue. The wind blow harder and harder and tree shook but this did not deter Shane. He was determined to bring the cat back down to safety. Fortunately, this is what happened and Shane managed to get the stuck cat down and bring him to the safety of his own home. Yesterday, on a dark and gloomy evening. Shane a boy from East London, with no fixed abode came across a cat that had hurtled its self up a fence for safety. Feeling concerned for this little cat s safety, Shane tucked the cat safely in his jacket and headed for what he calls home. When pushed for an answer on why he risked so much for this little cat Shane simply said I was only doing what anyone would do. However, this was not an ordinary journey home. Relatively earlier into their journey they came across some hooligans who shouted and chased after them. Ms Baker who lives at 248 Ashurts Drive recalled I could hear shouting from my bedroom window. I then looked out and saw a young boy heading for the busy street. I was very worried.
