A book review of A book review of Keeping Henry Keeping Henry By Abigail Hartley
What happens This is about a family that were evacuated to a farm due to the Blitz. Then young Charlie catapulted a small ragged baby squirrel called Henry out of it s nest. The poor little thing is too young to be able to survive on it s own so the family take him in and start to take care of him. Henry grows so tame that he sits on the table and steals your food at meal times, pinches socks to put in his nest at the top of the wardrobe and runs up your arm to sit on your shoulder when you come back from school.
Why I like it I liked Keeping Henry because I thought it was so nice to see an animal and people getting on so well. It was very funny in some places too and I love anything funny. It was also very interesting because there were so many facts about World War 2 and what The Blitz was like. I couldn t put this book down and in all my free time I read it. I love Nina Bawden books and it was her who wrote Keeping Henry.
Who should read it Who should read it I think that people who like animals would like this book because it teaches you how to look after baby squirrels. And people who like learning about history because it includes a lot of interesting facts about World War 2 and the Blitz. I also think that people who like funny things will like this book because there are a lot of funny bits in Keeping Henry.
