Initial Background Why this conference is important? To end poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and achieve all people enjoy health, justice and prosperity. Sustainability is important for the health of our planet and the well- being of present and future generations.
What are the Sustainable Development Goals?(SDGs) SDGs were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet. There are 17 SDGs are achieved. These goals development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability. 17 SDGs aim to transform our world, and achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
SDG 1 is to: "End poverty in all its forms everywhere. SDG 2 is to: "End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. SDG 3 is to: "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. SDG 4 is to: "Ensure inclusive[25] and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
SDG 5 is to: "Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. SDG 6 is to: "Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. SDG 7 is to "Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. SDG 8 is to: "Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
SDG 9 is to: "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation. SDG 10 is to: "Reduce inequality within and among countries. SDG 11 is to: "Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. SDG 12 is to: "Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
SDG 13 is to: "Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy. SDG 14 is to: "Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. University social responsibility Students also can actively give contributors to sustainability. For example: Don t waste food. Students are volunteers to help senior people in the community. Reusable water bottles prevent unnecessary plastic from ending up in landfills. the most environmentally friendly ways to get around is by bicycle.

Conference Goal This conference aims to enhance students understanding of sustainable development issues and the problem-solving skills through inquiry and practical activities. We hope to motivate our students with a global perspective and a sense of social responsibility.

Presentation Evaluation: Judges evaluate team performances based on the following criteria: Time management (10%), Oral expression (20%), Presentation content (35%) Stage manner (35%).
Time management (10%), Each group is allowed no longer than 10 minutes presentation time.
Oral expression (20%) Practice makes your English Perfect. Don t bore your audience by giving them big paragraphs or too many words in the same slide. Tell a story, Everyone enjoys a good story style. Be natural and connect with your audience. Don t hide behind a table.
Presentation content (35%) WHY did you choose this project topic? Motivation You can use a global concern, a real media news, real example in life or data statistics, the issues you face in your life to describe the initial motivation of your topic . You also need to point out what SDGs goal your project matches. You also need to tell us how important your project is. Who are benefited by your project, or your project findings can help whom?
Presentation content (35%) Literature You can use literature review (published papers in the journal or government , institutions reports) to SUPPORT your project ideas. You can use these literature as the basis of your project idea. You can follow literature as the steps you do your project.
Presentation content (35%) WHAT are the major questions discussed on your project. You can use simple data , survey to examine your project hypothesis. According your findings, what clear conclusions you make? How to be applied on the life.
Presentation content (35%) WHERE is your topic important: at the local, national or international level? Are there specific places or group people affected by the topic? Your findings need to come back match What SDGs goal.
Stage manner (35%). Tip 1: Maintain your eyes contact audiences while presenting and smile, don t see any note or cellerphone. You can type keyword on slides. Tip2: make clear and professional slides. Tip3:use a laser pointer to show something on the screen Tip4:Be prepared: Practice makes perfect, English fluently.
Stage manner (35%). Tip5: Be confident Tip 6: To make the presentation as lively and enjoyable as possible, you should avoid reading it off. Speak freely, slowly, and clearly. Tip7:Choose the right angle on standing during a presentation. You can stand on the right or center of the stage.
