A: Holiday season is coming! I can see beautiful decorations everywhere. Thanksgiving is next week. What are you planning to do? B: I heard many people are taking vacation. I haven t decided to go anywhere yet. Maybe just stay home and celebrate with friends. A: That sounds good. Any shopping planned for the Black Friday? B: Did you hear about the robbery happened last night? It s kind of scary. I probably just stay home and do some shopping online. I really don t have anything to buy. A: Me either. I m thinking about putting up the holiday lights, Christmas trees stuff since it ll be a long weekend. B: That s smart! I might do that too. I just bought 3 shinning snowman and we need to set it up in our front yard. It s going to look fantastic! A: Cool! I can t wait to visit you to see those cute snowman! Let s plan to get together sometime. B: Yes, let s do that!
A: We went to the Topgolf yesterday. Its incredible! Quite an entertainment. B: Really? Where is it? Is it mini golf? Indoor or outdoor? A: Yeah. They have many locations and we went to their Ashburn one. It s regular golf. It s an open play. The bays are facing outside the huge field, with colorful lights at night. They also have video games on the screen which shows you what happens in the game based on where the ball lands. It s quite fun! They allow 4-6 people in one bay. Before 5pm, it s $42 per hour. After 5pm, it s $52 per hour. B: Sounds fun! I ll try it out. Do they have drinks and food? A: Yes, they have food and tons of different drinks. B: What kind of food? A: There are lots of different foods but my favorite is the ice cream with brownies. They also have fries, chicken, and donut holes, which were delicious. B: I really want to go there!
A: We went to Reston town center to skate. It was really fun! We havent been there for a long time. B: Is the skate arena open? Do they have a lot of stores? A: Yes, we went to Ben & Jerry s to eat ice cream. I chose the Vanilla with cookies with chocolate. After I ate the phenomenal ice cream I was freezing because it was winter. So, when we got a bit chilly, we went skating in the huge ice rink to warm up. My mom was holding a silly penguin and then a stupid snowman so she could skate with us. B: Wow. Do you need a snowman to skate? Did you fall? Does it hurt A: No. I could skate by myself. Only my feet was tired after. I fell a couple of times, but it didn t hurt. B: Oh, was it crowded? How many people were there? A: Yes, there were about 50 people at our session. Sometimes it s crowded but you can still skate in an open area.
