  2. 13 THE NICENE S CREED We believe in one God, the Father almighty/ Creator of all things visible and invisible/ and in one Lord Jesus Christ/ the only begotten son of God/ the first born of all creatures/ born of the Father before all ages/ and not made/ true God from true God/ consubstantial with the Father/ through him the worlds were formed and all things were created. For the sake of us men/ and for our salvation he came down from heaven/ and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit/ and was conceived and born of the Virgin Mary/ and became man. He suffered and was crucified in the days of Pontius Pilate/ died and was buried/ and on the third day he rose again/ as it is written. He ascended into heaven, / and sits at the right hand of his Father. / He will come again to judge the dead and the living. / We believe in one Holy Spirit, / the spirit of truth / the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the son / and in one, Holy apostolic and catholic Church. / We confess one baptism for the remission of sins/ resurrection of the body/ and life everlasting. Amen.

  3. 14 THE APOSTLES CREED I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

  4. 15 PRAYER BEFORE CONFESSION I Confess to Almighty God, to Blessed Mary ever Virgin, to Blessed Michael the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the Holy Apostles Peter, Paul and Thomas, and to all the saints and to You father, that I have sinned exceedingly, in thought, word and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault (strike the breast). Therefore I beseech the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, Blessed Michael the Archangel, Blessed John the Baptist, the Holy Apostles Peter, Paul, Thomas, and all the saints and to You father, to pray to the Lord, our God for me, Amen.

  5. 16 ACT OF CONTRITION O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven, and the pains of hell, but most of all because I offended You my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life, Amen.
