**** Please like this post so I can note who has read and will be completing todays activities ***** Hello everyone, I hope you have had a great weekend! Here is todays home learning: Pick and choose from the activities. There are two activities each for maths and English (one easier and one more challenging). If you cannot print, work with what you have available. Thank you everyone for your support. The children are doing well and working extremely hard. I look forward to seeing everyone's work tomorrow. Have a lovely day. Miss Southall
Spellings Spellings: I have attached the children's weekly spellings for them to practise this week. English English: This week we will be learning a new story, 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes.' Today the children will be shown the front cover of the story and asked to make predictions about what they think the story will be about. - Children can use plain paper or the writing frames to write their predictions. Maths Maths: This week we will be learning about measurement and will begin to measure and record mass/weight. Usually in school we would have a lot of practise using non-standard measure such as balance scales. I have included a link about 'How to make your own balance scales.' (This is not essential but may be fun to do with the children and benefit their learning). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY0XHdbQLjE Todays maths learning video: https://www.loom.com/share/abf5f378a61f4d6fb9799a43be2749b0 I have also included the powerpoint used in the video so that children can repeat the lesson independently - non essential.
ICT ICT: This term the children will learn how to programme a Bee-Bot. Follow the link and help the Bee-Bot move around the alphabet by programming instructions. https://beebot.terrapinlogo.com Letter formation/ number formation: Some children may benefit from practising number formation and letter formation. Here is a link which models formation. You can choose the letters and numbers your child would like to practise. https://www.doorwayonline.org.uk/activities/letterformation/
