Year 1 and 2 Home Learning Topic and Science Week beginning 17.01.11
Topic RE This week we are looking at things we find in a synagogue. Watch the following link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ddPrQqqaz8 Activities: Draw and label the things that can be found in a synagogue. Label the picture to show where the things are.
Science This week we are going to be thinking about animals. Can you look in your garden and house and see what animals you can find. Perhaps you have some pets. Can you draw or take photos of what you find and write the names. Think about birds and insects!
Art This week we are looking at a stained glass window by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We are going to practice drawing the lines and drawing a rose in the same style. Watch to following link which shows you how to draw the rose. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P2Nx85POfs
Reading Remember to read your reading book everyday for 10 minutes.
