Admission Rules This has varied in the past, however moving forward: If called by ED on a patient with no PCP must take patient Regardless of who has admitted them in the past Must take patient if called by ED on a patient an outside PCP who is not covered by: SHMG Unity Pioneer US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) Dr. Bonyo

Admission Rules If any question/concern discuss with your attending Also should be notifying your attending if you are called on a patient but they go to another service (SHMG, USACS, etc.) Note: This is primarily to improve the med team census which is better for learning Secondary goal is to clarify existing rules which were confusing

Dragon / Power Mic Mobile Reminder hospital provides login to all residents and attendings for Dragon / Power Mic Mobile for dictation You will definitely be encouraged to dictate your notes on ED rotation! Let me know if you lost your email with instructions to get access to Dragon / Power Mic Mobile

  4. IMC month/half month logistics On IMC month scheduled for minimum of 4-6 half days per week Exact number varies based on off call requests, vacations, etc. Categorical residents are prioritized Be sure to check didactics schedule to see your presentation days Review your Provider Calendar to see business curriculum, QI, SAMS Clinic, education meetings and other scheduled meetings Very frequently these things are missed

  5. Rapid Response Teams Overnight rapid responses Always document a note If non-med team patient need to discuss with primary team any interventions or workup If med-team on as consultant, also notify primary surgical team

  6. 2022-2023 Vacation requests Deadlines September & October: Friday, June 3rd November: Friday, July 22nd Holiday Request: Sometime August/September January, February & March: October 7th April & May: December 2nd Must take 1 week of vacation prior to December 1st, 2022 Must turn in a vacation/off call form in the chief office These are used by others to ensure you are off IMC as well

House Staff Council Several people have already emailed me back regarding this Keep a lookout for a survey which will go out sometime tomorrow Results due to July 31st to Medical Education so Survey will likely go for just 1 week to give elected a chance to confirm they would like to participate
