The Research Back Ground and The Purpose The Research Back Ground According to previous research, intangible assets are the source of competitive advantage. There are three components of intangible assets, namely Human resources, information technology, and organization assets. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the hospital intangible assets can improve the competitive advantages?
Research Methode Questioners were shared and interviews were conducted in X Hospital to collect the data. The respondents were 28 persons that hold structural job. Descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach were chosen as the methods.
The Results The human resource assets that comprise of knowledge, skills, character are most importance thing compare to Information technology and organization assets. The component of human resource in informational technology as experts (in program and how to operate the IT effectively) and organizational assets as experts (in leadership, culture, climate, reputation, brand image, patent). There for, to improve the information technology and organization assets, the hospital management should increase the knowledge, skill, and character by giving them more training and intangible assets insert in information technology education, formally or informally.
Discassion Expert in Strategic Management: Strategy implementation for a company sustainability, practice, and process strengthen the competence to identify, protect, and give value to inimitable resources, stimulate the development of intangible assets associated with human capital, innovation, knowledge, culture, and reputation (Perrini Francesco, Vurro Clodia. 2010, title: Corporate Sustainability, Intangible Assets Accumulation and Competitive Advantage Constraints).
Discussion (2) Intangible resources give more contribution on creating values for a company compare to tangible assets. Intangible assets have positive correlation with competitive advantage and company performance (Okpara 2015, Hitt, et al, 2011 ).
