1. A religious leader named Simon asked Jesus to his home for a meal. 2. There was woman nearby who had done many wrong things. When she heard Jesus was there, she brought some expensive perfume in a jar. 3. She stood at Jesus feet, crying. Then she began to wash his feet with her tears. She dried his feet with her hair. She kissed his feet and rubbed them with the perfume. English Online | English conversation classes
4. When Simon saw this, he thought, If this man were a prophet, he would know that woman is a sinner! 5. Jesus said to Simon, When I came into your house, you did not give me water to wash my feet. But she washed my feet with her tears and dried my feet with her hair. 6. You did not greet me with a kiss, but she has been kissing my feet since I came in. 7. You did not put oil on my head, but she rubbed my feet with her sweet-smelling oil. I tell you that her many sins are forgiven. 8. Then Jesus said to her, Your sins are forgiven.
