LEADERS Share your desire to reach the community. Prayerfully decide on an event. Plan how you will both announce and keep the event before the church.
BUDGET Meet with your financial team. Determine your budget. Plan to raise additional funds as needed.
MINISTRY TEAM Recruit team leads to plan and execute event. Mobilize your church to serve alongside your team leads. Incorporate a system of accountability.
SCHEDULE Add Crossover and Harvest Day dates on your church calendar. Decide on the program (i.e., music, testimonials, message, invitation, etc.). Guard the dates and the program.
FACILITIES Clean the exterior (i.e., lawn, parking lot, signage, building, etc.). Clean the interior (e.g., remove odors, clutter, etc.).
WELCOME HUB Make it visible and easy to find. Staff with greeters who are friendly, engaging, and informed. Communicate all the information about your church.
WEBSITE Make sure everything is current and all out-of- date elements are removed. Confirm everything works (e.g., links, buttons, forms, etc.). Does it display properly on all types of electronic devices? Promote event using a website banner or a pop-up. Add event registration, if applicable.
EQUIPMENT Audio Media Lighting Stage Etc.
SECURITY Recruit a volunteer security team. Create an Emergency Response (ER) plan. Provide communication means for the security team (e.g., walkie-talkies). Hire a local police officer(s).
MEMBERS Be clear on the intent of the event. Challenge them to pray. Challenge them to invite. Equip them to share the gospel. Challenge them to value and engage guests with the gospel.
