HS Classification Principle 1: Terms of Heading According to the 1st principle: 1.Terms of heading The classification of a product can be determined, if the terms of a specific heading properly reflects the nature of the product. 2
For example 6 digit By applying the 1st principle, if your product can be reasonably classified using the text of a heading, that is its classification code 3
HS Classification Principle 2: Notes According to the 2nd principle: 2. Notes (Section, chapter or subheadings) The classification is determined by the specific references to the product in the notes of a section, chapter or subheading. 4
HS Classification Principle 2: Notes 6 digit The product is defined in the Chapter notes 5
HS Classification 3rd Principle: GRI 3. If the classification can not be determined by principles 1 or 2, it will be determined by applying the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI). 6
