  3. Bylaws Purpose The purpose of HBA shall be: To afford the youth of Hudson an opportunity to engage in competitive baseball. To teach and encourage baseball skills, teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship. To provide participation in appropriate leagues and teams to support all age groups from 8-14 years of age. To provide and enforce suitable rules of play and conduct for players and coaches in the organization. To support and work in coordination with, and to enhance and provide continuity with, the baseball programs of the Hudson City Schools. To raise funds and engage in all other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of HBA.

HBA Advantage Relationship with the Hudson High School baseball program and coaches Learn the fundamentals the high school coaches want to see Learn the same warm ups and run the same drills as the high school program By 14U the high school coaches know the players and follow their progress Community based All players are Hudson kids HBA is a non-profit where all funds raised go right back in to the program Value provided vs. higher price club teams Not a club program i.e. profit first

Player and Coach Development Continuing Initiatives Partnership with Diamond Club (Hudson High School baseball program) and Coach Dice to create 8U Gray team Coaching clinic with Coach Merrill Coaches have open access to high school practices and staff Joint age group winter practices at larger facilities January through March Sunday morning hitting and catching clinics with Coach Deutsch

  17. Parent Liaison Main contact for any coach and/or player related issues Liaison historically is a longer tenured board member who no longer has a child playing in HBA Anonymous Access to all line ups, rosters, and statistics

Challenger Game and Salvation Army Annual baseball game for Special Olympics athletes held at Hudson High School Varsity baseball field Organized by 14U teams All HBA teams are in attendance and make signs and root for their designated Special Olympics athletes Salvation Army bell ringing at Acme
