In education sector, especially higher education those curriculum are largely affected who are based on field based and practical .For smooth functioning and to deal with that situation major changes are induced in the education sector globally. According to UNESCO, from pre-primary to tertiary education, there were 1.5 billon students affected as of April 26, 2020. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The present study has based on Descriptive research design and University of Himachal Pradesh Dharamshala, students enrolled in Masters of social work during covid-19 period. limit only to central Researcher was used Questionnaire as tool for the data collection sampling(Snowball) was used during the study .Questionnaire was mailed to 50 respondents out of which 40 are responded . and Simple random
ANALYSIS AND FINDINGS Majority of the students has revealed that Hybrid/blended learning has become boon for us during covid-19 pandemic phase. with the help of hybrid learning their education continues in that period and they have not lost their time, money and semester. They further adds that their theoretical parts of curriculum was gone well but they face problem to understand their practical portion of their curriculum.
About 70% respondents revealed that they lacks the practical experience practice in the social work like field visit in village, Hospitals , NGO,s and other institutions. in the field based Most of the students that are serving in job presently , also faced difficulty in handing the cases due to lack of proper field survey and experience to handle the issues in the society.
Out of the total respondents , some reported that they were lived in remote areas and they faced the problem of electricity and internet connectivity. Some of the respondents are economic problems like smart phone, internet and laptop etc.
Few respondents said that in- campus learning are expensive like hostels expenditure but during covid-19, their classwork was done on online mode and they save their money and also not to leave their home town. fee and other Some of them has revealed that Social work education as a practice based profession, so it was not justified experience in the field institutions, NGO,s etc. without the practical home like visit,
RECOMMENDATIONS Most of the students are not familiar to use the multimedia or new technology learning will be taken as regular or routine in teaching and learning curriculum. , so hybrid Some of trained to handle the online mode of teaching during the pandemic phase because they never faced such type of situation to instant shift the traditional teaching online/blended learning the faculty members are not well learning method to
RECOMMENDATIONS There is lack of infrastructural set up like smart classrooms, interactive whiteboards, projector etc. for proper functioning of online learning. For avoiding the difficulty in the future from the student and faculty end , blended leaning must introduce as a regular teaching programme.
STUDY LIMITATIONS Certain limitations of this study are noticed like it is limit only to central University of Himachal Pradesh MSW students , it may be further extend to other field based curriculum. It may further extend to the teacher perspective, because in this study only student perceptions are undertaken into considerations
