TITLE IV-A STUDENT SUPPORT AND ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT GRANT
Title IV-A Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE)
Title IV-A New block grant for: well-rounded education; improving school conditions for learning; and use of technology to improve academic achievement and digital literacy of all students Formula grant to all districts based on Title I-A formula Oregon received $3,819,272 (2017-18) Minimum a district may receive is $10,000
Title IV-A Funding Parameters LEAs that receive $30,000 or more must spend: At least 20% to support well-rounded education; At least 20% to support safe and healthy students; and At least some funds to support the effective use of technology. May not spend more than 15% on technology infrastructure LEAs that receive less than $30,000 must meet at least one of the above requirements.

Title IV-A Application Tabs Consolidated Spending To input indirect costs, decline funds and/or transfer funds To indicate if any private schools in your district s boundary wishes to participate Private Schools Overview / Needs Assessment For districts receiving over $30,000, a needs assessment must be completed. Outlining each activity and noting if its part of well (WRE), safe and healthy schools (SHS), or technology (TECH) as function code Budget narrative Listing both the function and object codes to determine for those districts over $30,000 if each category was fulfilled according to guidance. Transferring Funds Rules 1.Transfer only from Title II-A and Title IV-A 2.No limits on the amounts of funds to transfer 3.Once funds are transferred, they take on the identity of that Title AND must be spent under rules applicable to that Title 19
