IAC Codes IAC Codes (1 of 3) (1 of 3) Instructional Area Code (IAC) is a number, used to represent a career pathway. CTE Concentrators are assigned an IAC when they complete 2+ CTE courses from a career pathway and are in 11th and 12th grade. Career pathways are a sequence of courses and programs that district CTE/Career Ed teams develop, in conjunction with your local labor market. The local labor market is defined by employer stakeholders. Employer stakeholders are meeting with CTE/Career Ed team to strategically align CTE courses and programs to outline educational opportunities for students interested in learning about a career cluster.
