  2. IEP ~ TIPS, TERMS AND TALK IEPS ARE MEANT TO BE A TEAM EFFORT Who is here today? Let s discuss how we feel during an IEP meeting? What do we want to know/learn/improve about our IEP meetings? Why is it important to understand special education terminology?

  3. IEP MEETINGS-TIPS, TERMS AND TALK o Today we will cover: o Critical parts of the IEP (Individualized Education Program), their purpose, and the way the document works o Ask questions, share stories and know we are all in this TOGETHER!!

IEP~ TIPS, TERMS AND TALK IEPS ARE A ROAD MAP FOR EACH CHILD ACADEMICALLY Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance : This section is found on the IEP second page of most students under age of 15 (see handout for Butte County) .these levels describe your child currently and will guide and form the goals your child will work on over the next year.
