IHO Lab ENC conversion project update Edition 1.0.0 of the conversion guidance has been published Will need updating as the DCEG/S-101PS is updated The concept of the project is to build, execute and report on a conversion pipeline comprising data and software tools. A programme of test conversions will be executed which will analyse the ENC conversion document and provide feedback on its content. The project should make recommendations for edition 2.0.0 of the conversion guidance document
Project Execution The project contains the following steps: Data and Tool Assembly (industry and HO partners) For each dataset identified: Assessment and Validation of S-57 Conversion to S-101 Any post-conversion editing required + S-101 validation Analysis, cross-checking and reporting. Once all datasets identified have been processed, root cause analysis of the conversion document contents, and common areas for update will be identified.
Project deliverables in two phases: - Analysis and Proposals for the conversion guidance - Proposals and guidance for co-production of data to support Dual Fuel operations.
Resourcing and Timelines Project Timeline will be dependent on available resources Necessary resourcing Hardware and Operations Resources to run tests against data Input data (S-57) representative ENC cells and existing test datasets (S-64) Data should be accessible from member state participants and software tools from industry partners. Resources to perform analysis and cross-reference with conversion guidance document required. This will produce the overall conclusions of the project and the inputs to Conversion Guidance document Dual Fuel co-production guidance.
