IIAPL SEASON 7 To , The Chapter Chairmen, National Council members, Office Bearers, IIA Sports & Cultural Committee Members Dear Sir, Greetings from IIA Sports & Cultural Committee. Started as friendly matches in 2011 and with a wonderful past of national cricket seasons as IIAPL 1 & 2, the determination continued with extended vision which resulted in the conduct of Architects Cricket World Cup or Goodwill Cup 2014 at Cochin, IIAPL HUBLI :19th & 20th Feb. in 2015 , IIAPL 5 at INDORE : 8th and 9th Jan 2016 and THE CENTENARY IIAPL beautifully hosted at Guwahati from 6th 8th January 2017. Continuing the same Spirit, the IIA Sports & Cultural Committee as directed , has immense pleasure in announcing the IIAPL 7 - A domestic Cricket Extravaganza on 3rd - 4th - 5th - 6th January 2018 planned at Ahmedabad, hosted by IIA GUJARAT Chapter and IIA Ahmedabad Center. This year also, along with the Cricket there will be Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament for men and women architects . As we all take pride to know that Ahmedabad is recently declared as India s first World Heritage City by UNESCO. Hence ,an Exclusive Heritage Walk is organised on 4th and 5thmornings, with the purpose of revealing the city s rich culture: arts and architecture, religious places, its traditions and its landscape to the guest architects. You are requested to kindly send your Chapter team in this Mega Event of IIA for Cricket as well as Badminton & Table Tennis. Please go through the following pages for further details. The Last Day for Registration and Nomination of Team for IIAPL Season 7 shall be 15th November 2017. (for Cricket, Badminton and Table Tennis). DETAILS ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT & REQUIRED FORMALITIES RULES OF THE GAME (CRICKET) 1. Every match shall be held according to normal cricket rules (ICC). However, there are a number of additional rules, which are as follows: 2. The matches will be of 10 / 15 Over's played on Turf Wickets with White Deuce Ball. 3. It s an Architect s Cup and all teams have to submit the Architects ID with IIA REGISTRATION NUMBER along with the age verification of the players. 4. The teams will be divided in two groups / as decided as per the final registrations and later we will have Semi-Finals and Final to decide the Winner. In case of lesser teams we can have two groups and directly the winner of each group will play the Final Match. The final format shall be decided as per team captains meeting on 3rd January 2018. 5. Total 15 members team can be sent for the tournament. The Playing Team will consist of 11 Players with :- Minimum 4 Players Above 40 years Minimum 4 Players Above 30 years To be adhered compulsorily Rest below 30 years * the IIA Sports & Cultural Committee reserves the right to amend the same at any given time as required. 6. All league games will be of 8 to 12 over innings with no bowler allowed to bowl more than four (2\3) overs in an inning. Final will be of 12-15 overs with no bowler allowed to bowl more than 3 overs in an inning. 7. Each CHAPTER team shall have a name and Colored Sports dresses depicting the culture of their state. 8. Balls will be provided by the Organizer/ Host. 9. Points: Winner 3 , Loser 0 , Abandoned 1 Each. 10. Umpire Decisions are final. 11. In case of a tie, the final decision will be through a Super- Over as per ICC rules. 12. Teams have to carry their own Kit, as no cricketing gears will be provided by the committee. 13. Respective Chapters will have to pay for their travelling and transportation cost. Registration charges per Player|Participant @RS.5000 will be there . ** Please refer the Registration Fee Details in the last page. 14. The organizers will only provide with sports lunch and dinner hospitality as per the itinerary. .15. IIA and IIAPL doesn t hold any responsibility for any injury caused to any player during the game. All security provisions must be ensured by individual team only. 16. All the teams have to Report Ahmedabad on 3rd Jan. 18. IIA Sports & Cultural Committee will arrange the venues for Registration , Opening Ceremony and Team Captains Meeting on 3rd Jan. 18. 17. Any Misconduct of any player/ team against Organizers/ IIA Sports & Cultural Committee , is not permissible and IIA Sports & Cultural Committee is authorized to take strict action if any individual / team is found guilty. 18. Gujarat is a dry state and all the state Govt. regulations shall be strictly adhered regarding NoLiquor during the entire Event. Host Chapter along with IIA Sports & Cultural Committee shall hold no responsibility if any Player/Team is found guilty of breaking the State Govt. s Law. DETAILS ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT & REQUIRED FORMALITIES RULES OF THE GAME (BADMINTON and TABLE TENNIS) 1. All the matches of Badminton / Table Tennis shall be Best of 3/5 sets and as per National Badminton / National Table Tennis rules applicable. 2. THE BADMINTON AND TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT SHALL HAVE FOLLOWING EVENTS WITH NO AGE LIMITS 3. MENS DOUBLES ( maximum 2 teams per chapter , i.e., 4 players) 4. WOMENS DOUBLES/ SINGLES( any number of participants are welcomed) * the IIA sports committee reserves right to amend the same at any given time as required. 5. Each CHAPTER team shall have a name and Colored Jerseys are allowed for the game. 6. Talent Shuttle shall be provided by Host. 7. Points: Winner 3 , Loser 0, Abandoned 1 Each. 8. IMPORTANT REMINDERS , RULES & REGISTRATION DETAILS PLEASE NOTE: Teams are expected to reach Ahmedabad latest by 3.00PM on 03.01.2018. 1 Paid pick-up will be available from the Airport provided flight timings are intimated beforehand, but has to be paid. 2 Matches wont be postponed due to delay in flights. 3 All participants will come directly to the hotel. 4 Registrations to be done latest by 15th of November, 2017. 5 Registration payments are to be made before doing the Online Registration. 6 Match fixtures and groups will be finalised beforehand. Groups will be decided as per last years ranking. 7 The new teams will be distributed by way of lots. 8 Match timings will be followed strictly. Anyone missing team bus has to travel on his own 9 The Cricket league matches will be of 2 matches per team in 4 pools prior to semi finals and finals 10 Only 4 (four) players from each Chapter can participate in TT and Badminton each (2 nos of Doubles teams for Badminton + 2 nos of Singles players and 1 no of Doubles team for Table Tennis) 11 The Table Tennis and Badminton matches shall be on knockout basis zone wise as per the earlier conducted tournament 12 It is mandatory for Cricket, Badminton and Table Tennis Players to participate in the Heritage Walk 13 One player should preferably participate in only two events. We cannot guarantee non clashing of schedule of different events 14 We will be providing free accommodation for Cricket, Badminton and Table Tennis Players only. 15 Alcohol Consumption is strictly prohibited. We will disqualify the player if he/she consumes alcohol on ground premises 16 IIA is not responsible for any such activity or at any legal actions by jurisdiction against such activity. 17 Accommodation for non players Participants will be on Payment Basis. 18 REGISTRATION FEES : Cricket / Badminton /Table Tennis - Rs. 5,000/- (Rs. 4,500/- + Rs. 500/- for social cause) 1 Player playing two numbers of events - Rs. 7,500/- (Rs. 7,000/- + Rs. 500/- for social cause) 2 Female Player - Rs. 2,000/- (Rs. 1,500/- + Rs. 500/- for social cause) 3 FROM THE DESK OF IIA SPORTS & CULTURAL COMMITTEE Heritage Walk Participants - FREE OF CHARGE 4
