What is ImmuNet? ImmuNet is a secure, online database that holds vaccine histories for children and adults throughout Maryland. ImmuNetdata is confidential and HIPAA- compliant. ImmuNetis easy to use. In most cases ImmuNet can automatically get this data from electronic health records your office is already using. 2
Benefits of ImmuNet Quickly and easily find or replace patient immunization records Find your patient s vaccine history from multiple healthcare providers and pharmacies Easier vaccine management and prevents vaccine waste by avoiding unnecessary repeat doses Meet the 2017 VFC reporting requirements & quality improvement measures Starting in 2017, you ll be able to order vaccines, including flu vaccine, through ImmuNet 3
Enrolling in ImmuNet is Easy Enjoy all the benefits of ImmuNet in four easy steps: 1. Make sure you have at least one internet connected computer or mobile device. 2. Visit the ImmuNet webpage1 to fill out our electronic enrollment form (Under Start Using ImmuNet Today ). 3. Your username and password will be sent by email. 4. Using ImmuNet: Read & Update Vaccine History This history page is easy to read and shows all the vaccinations recorded in ImmuNet 6
Using ImmuNet: Reports ImmuNet can create an official Vaccine Administration Form, a Maryland 896 School Certificate, and other forms. 7
New for 2017: ImmuNet Reporting Reporting to ImmuNet is mandated starting 2017 for all enrolled VFC providers. Setting up electronic data exchange will allow you to meet your VFC reporting requirement without any interruption in your workflow. Participating in the Meaningful Use program is one way to meet this requirement and allow you to get valuable incentive payments. If you are already using ImmuNet and reporting data to ImmuNet, congratulations, you meet the requirement and only need to prepare for online vaccine ordering in 2017. 8
Electronic Reporting The Medicaid Electronic Health Records Incentive Program provides incentive payments up to $64,000 for activities like reporting vaccinations to ImmuNet. Even if you don t want to or can t participate in Meaningful Use, ImmuNet staff can help you with data exchange. Connecting is easy and DHMH has staff that can help you. New for 2017: Online Ordering In 2017 you will be able to order vaccines through ImmuNet. This will be much easier and faster than faxing inventory forms. You ll also be able to check the status of your vaccine order and track the package! 10

Tips to Get Ready for 2017 If your office is already enrolled/registered with ImmuNet: 1. Check your access to ImmuNet by signing in to ImmuNet. 2. Call or email the ImmuNet Help Desk if you are not able to sign in or forgot your username/password. 3. Ensure that your office staff are authorized and appropriately trained to use ImmuNet. 4. Enroll in future webinars and training sessions to learn how to order VFC vaccines through ImmuNet. 12
Tips to Get Ready for 2017 If your office is not enrolled/registered with ImmuNet: 1. Please enroll to use ImmuNet as soon as possible. Enrolling is easy. Go to the ImmuNet website at tinyurl.com/mdimmunet Scroll down to Start Using ImmuNet Today . Complete the online enrollment form. Once we receive your form, we will email your ImmuNet user name and password. 2. For those without Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, you can report your vaccination data by sending a flat file or enter the data manually into ImmuNet. Contact the ImmuNet Help Desk for guidance. 3. For those with EHRs, your vendor can help you set up automatic reporting from your EHR (federal funding may be available). 13
