Propel Philanthropy SIIOs Survey Update June 4th, 2024
Introduction This year we launched our inaugural SIIOs Survey to illuminate the impact, aspirations, and needs of SIIOs in Propel Philanthropy. Here is a snapshot of our findings so far from just 12 SIIOs based in seven countries:
SIIOs Overview Issues SIIOs are working to address include: 1. Environmental Sustainability 2. Convening and empowering donors 3. Ending poverty 4. Building youth futures 5. Addressing climate change 6. Transforming the role of funders in safeguarding 7. Promoting skilled volunteering to support non-profits 8. Supporting next gen social impact leaders
Engagement Partners 1. Donors 2. Professional Advisors to HNWI 3. Youth 4. Non-profits 5. Social Enterprises
Donor Engagement Spotlight SIIO Donor Engagement Our SIIOs work directly with and advise close to 2,000 donors. Philanthropic Capital The philanthropic capital directly influenced by our SIIOs is $2.74 Billion.
Employment Impact Our SIIOs employ approximately 200 team members.
Financial Overview Operating Budgets Total Budget The annual operating budgets of SIIOs in our community total $67,150,000. Funding Gap The total funding gap for SIIOs to achieve their top funding priorities is $37,470,000.
Pro Bono Needs Non-Monetary Support Percentage Needing Support Areas of Need 91% of our SIIOs shared they have specific technical/non-monetary needs where pro bono support can make a difference. Including: marketing outreach, public relations , advising for our early stage entrepreneurs , board development and engagement , technical systems.
Key Takeaway With investments in our SIIOs, we are positively impacting Billions of philanthropic dollars, thousands of organizations, & millions of lives. Imagine a world where SIIOs are fully supported in their vital work.
Our Ask If your organization has not already done so, please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey (in full or in part) by Friday June 28th. Our Next Steps Reviewing responses in July, sharing follow-up questions with some respondents to build out stories/case studies that help animate the impact of our community and the measurable potential of increased investments to Propel Members.
