  1. Implementation of Principals Digital Leadership in Communication and Teacher Professional Development at School The 4th International Conference on Research of Educational Administration and Management (ICREAM) 2020 Ius Rusnati Educational Administration Department, School of Post Graduates. Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia I. Introduction Education goals are to ensure that all students experience the learning process that can fully develop the self-potential with no differentiation. The Covid-19 Pandemic issue impacts on school system by changing the learning process into online classrooms. The presence of digital technology assists the learning process. The role of school principals in this digital era is crucial to conduct successful online classrooms.

  2. II. LITERATUR REVIEW The digital leadership should be implemented effectively. The digital leadership includes (1) skill to use multimedia, (2) real time transmission skill, (3) information production, (4) skill in social networking, (5) skill in using cellular technology. The digital leadership should emphasize on the teacher professional development through sustainable support to improve teacher engagement. Teacher professional development conducted through: (1) encouraging technological development and teacher training, (2) providing adequate technological infrastructure support, and (3) developing an effective school plans by developing a culture technological use.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The qualitative case study approach was performed to explore more deeply how digital school principals utilize technology for digital communication and teacher professional as well as to development to good quality learning. The primary data was collected through interview with the principals of elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school of El Fitra. The purposive sampling was selected through interview, observation and documentation. The secondary data was gathered by administering questionnaire to the supported participants that are 93 El Fitra teachers.

  4. IV. RESULT AND DISCUSS 1. The interview result with the principals of elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school of El Fitra regarding the communication and teacher professional development which managed by the principal. Question 1 As a principal, how do you manage a lot of day-to-day communications in the digital age? Based on interview, the authors conclude that the ability to manage communication for digital leadership is crucial to be developed. School digital communication through online media such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Zoom meeting and google meet was employed by school principals to communicate with school members and community. The creation of viral content which disseminated school programs to the community was aimed to build a positive image of the school as well as to communicate with parents through the virtual parent-student association (POMG).   5. RESULT AND DISCUSS Question 2 What teacher have professional development activities been undertaken to support teacher performance in the digital age? Based on the interview, teacher professional development activities in the digital era was conducted through: 1) Digital-based learning. 2) Improving the quality of teachers through the formation of KKG (Teacher Working Groups). 3) Standardizing teacher and educational staff and implementing knowledge development strategies 4) A workshop on the use of digital technology for the professional development of teachers to improve the quality of learning.

  6. 2. The result of questionnaire from 93 El Fitra teachers regarding teacher professional development as supporting data for analyzing teacher professional development activities. Example of Google Form Design The creation of learning video Overall, 93 teachers reported the improvement of digital skills for teaching and learning. They argued that the training provided by the school with the full support of the principal had provided many benefits for educators in designing learning online classrooms.
