In this enlightening lesson, Todd Johnson emphasizes the significance of apostrophes. Issues in power regulation at the Kautz Road substation are causing delays, impacting the site's operations. Focus is on resolving these issues and achieving the desired power output by Christmas. Various technical challenges, such as system leaks and connector fixes, are being addressed, aiming to improve the overall functionality of the facility. Contamination and resistivity issues have also been identified and are being investigated further. Access days are scheduled for maintenance and troubleshooting, with plans for future upgrades and enhancements in place.

  4. f For the last week, the whole site has been running from the Kautz Road substation In preparation for Master Substation upgrade next year Linac & Booster have significant issues with power regulation We are basically stalled until these issues are resolved or we switch back to the normal configuration Our goal is to achieve 400kW (2+6 slip-stacking) by Christmas f f Kautz Road

  9. f Resistivity of MI LCW crashed during fill Thursday morning f f Contamination of MI LCW Slazyk says he knows what happened, and will address at CUB in the next MI access

  10. f Running beam through recycler to NuMI to scrub new beam pipe (and kickers, Lambertson, ) at RR52. f f Recycler Scrubbing

  11. f Before shutdown, fast horizontal instability blew up beam at about 3.8E12 for the first batch, with only RRRF02 on Threshold lower with either just RRRF01 or with both RF stations f f Status of recycler instability Now, we can still see instability, but: Blowup seems less dramatic To see blowup, require intensities above 4E12, both RF stations on, plus some tweaks Perhaps a suggestion that with RF feedback off, RRRF01 is still worse, but it s a mild suggestion At present, it doesn t look like this will be an impediment for slip-stacking

  12. f Address MI30U PS issues Fix MI collimators Fix resitivity issue at CUB Debug / fix RRRF02 turn- off problem f f To Do RR Scrubbing Establish 6 batch $2A normal operation RR Lattice measurement study Xiao, Yang Parasitic measurement of Q of higher-order modes in RRRF cavities Madrak, Lebedev 2+6 slip-stacking is coming
