  2. Three important religious virtues Fast, Prayer and Alms-giving Three important theological virtues Faith, Hope and Love Three evangelical counsels The vow of obedience, The vow of celibacy and The vow of poverty

  3. Things to remember for a worthy Holy Communion 1. Make an examination of conscience and see if there are grave sins. If there are, then confess them and come to a state of grace. 2. Take part in the Holy Mass actively and with due devotion. 3. Keep a fast, at least for one hour, prior to Holy Communion.

  4. The Beatitudes 1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 2. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 3. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 4. Blessed are those who hunger for justice , for they shall be satisfied. 5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 6. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. 8. Blessed are those who suffer persecution for justice s sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

  5. THE FOURTEEN ACTS OF MERCY THE SEVEN CORPORAL ACTS OF MERCY 1. Giving food to the hungry 2. Giving thirsty something to drink 3. Giving clothing to the naked 4. Giving shelter to the homeless 5. Visiting the sick and the imprisoned 6. Giving help to the poor and the needy 7. Burying the dead THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL ACTS OF MERCY 1. Teaching the ignorant 2. Counselling the scrupulous 3. Consoling the grieving 4. Correcting the erring 5. Forgiving those who offended 6. Bearing patiently with others 7. praying for the living and the dead
