Incentives for Robustness in BitTorrent: Exploring Strategies
BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file-sharing protocol, is analyzed in terms of incentives, robustness, and performance strategies. The discussion includes the Tit-for-Tat strategy, active set selection, new user integration, and the impact of high-bandwidth peers on the network. Research findings on the system's resiliency to user manipulations and the utilization of strategies by BitTyrant are examined, shedding light on how performance is influenced within the BitTorrent ecosystem.

Subject: English Year Group: 6 Week Commencing: 27.04.20 For subject information, games and activities to support this planning, please also look on the Help your child with English document saved on the class page.
Date: 27.4.20 Lesson Objective: Use the rules of speech Hello Pterodactyls. We hope you are all well and managing to make the most of this lovely weather. So far our characters have been chased down the road by the dinosaur, the car has crashed and the child has run away to climb a tree. Activity: Today we are going to be writing about the parent character and the Park owner. After the crash they are trapped in the car and think the dinosaur is going to eat them. Then a helicopter scares the dinosaur away. The Parent and the Park owner have an argument. The park owner flies away in the helicopter and leaves the Parent behind. For each of these plot points lets think of some ideas, I will start then you can add some ideas of your own. Trapped in car dinosaur sniffs them out, wants to eat them but they are covered in petrol Helicopter arrives loud noise, dinosaur roars back at it . Argument Parent tell owner his park is not safe and should shut down. Owner loves money Parent gets left behind Parent is scared, lost and worried about child.
When the Parent and Park owner are arguing we need to use the rules of speech e.g. How dare you touch my triceratops! Shouted Mr Smith as he clenched his fist. I thought it might like an apple. Replied Mrs Callister with a sinister look in her eyes. Rules 1. New speaker, New line 2. Open speech marks 3. Capital letter 4.Punctuation 5. Close speech marks 6. How they said it
Lets get started Dr McGrath s head was throbbing with pain, her eyes were blurry and she could feel a trickle of blood running don her forehead. Reaching out, she felt for the seatbelt buckle trying to release herself from the wreckage of the car. Next to her, Mr Bass moaned in pain. Smelling blood in the air, the dinosaur approached rapidly. It accelerated to the upturned car
Date: 28.4.20 Lesson Objective: Use conjunction starters Our characters have split up. The child is in the tree, the parent is by the car wreckage and the Park owner has flown off in his helicopter. Activity: Today the parent goes off in search of the child and fights off a smaller dinosaur to rescue them. We would like your writing to include conjunction starters. Easy: As, if, when, because after Harder: Although, despite, however What s happening today: Parent starts looking for child, follows foot prints, finds a smaller dinosaur climbing tree trying to attack child. Fights off dinosaur.
Lets get started Watching Mr Bass s helicopter disappear, Dr McGrath was filled with concern. Where is Jenna? She thought to herself. Although she was scared she knew she had to find her. Her daughter as lost in the wilderness alone. Well not alone. Who knows which dinosaurs had escaped. At the edge of the road, by the tree line, there were footprints. Ahead in the trees Dr McGrath could hear
Date: 29.4.20 and 30.04.20 Lesson Objective: build up the excitement Activity: It is time to escape What s happening today? Our characters are going to make their way back to the park entrance and get off the island. First look at your map and decide where the characters need to get to in order to escape? Are they going to get a boat or fly off in the helicopter? How can we make this more exciting? Storm, dinosaurs escaping, chase Only go as far as them getting to their escape vehicle.
Lets get started Jessica and Jenna looked at each other exhausted, tiered and afraid. The last day had stared a dream and finished a nightmare. Around them the storm was worsening. They knew that out there was the Smithasaurus and it still must be hungry. What if more fences are broken? Whispered Jenna as she looked at her mother. Don t worry dear, I m sure they are strong. Replied McGrath hardly able to convince her daughter of this lie. Pulling herself together McGrath decided the only thing to do is to get out of the park and off the island.
Date: 1.5.20 Lesson Objective: Create a twist This is the ending of the story. A twist in a story is when the story suddenly changes and something unexpected happens. What happens As our characters get in their vehicle to escape the Owner tries to take it over and kill them. Before the owner can strike a flying dinosaur (pterodactyl) swoops down and kills him. Try to make the reader think that the owner is going to win. Concentrate on the owners movements and facial expressions. The more detailed this part is the better the twist.
Lets get started Finally Jessica and Jenna made it to the boat. To their relief the Captain was in his seat and the engines were revving. As they took their seat they could see Mr Bass running towards them waving his arms. Just go already. Shouted Jenna The captain remained silent this must be another one of Mr Bass s goons. Stepping onto the boat, Mr Bass smiled to himself. He wasn t full of rage even though his empire was crumbling. He pulled out a gun and waved it towards the passengers...
THE END Wow. That story was full of action. I m exhausted! If you would like you could give it an edit and improve and star write it.
