2015 INCOSE Circle Awards Program The Chapter Awards Package was submitted Jan 10th with many of the 52 evaluated points categories max ed out. The Chapter exceeded all required minimums and is competing for the Platinum Level Very Competitive 2016 Chapter Awards Manager is the Chapter s Vice President, Phyllis Marbach Everything our Chapter does to promote Systems Engineering or Engineering (STEM) in general, counts. Keep the chapter informed of your activities, when in doubt, ask Phyllis or one of the other officers. Stand up, be recognized for the work you do! 3

Epstein Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering, USC For the Induction of 2016 Board of Directors and Recognition of the 2015 Board of Directors Please step forward when your name is shown on the screen. 15
Azad Madni Azad Madni is a Professor in the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Viterbi School of Engineering of the University of Southern California. He is the Director of the Systems Architecting and Engineering Program that is supported by engineering faculty school-wide. He is also the founder and Chief Scientist of Intelligent Systems Technology, Inc., a high tech firm specializing in enterprise and systems engineering R&D for defense and the commercial sector. In addition to being a Fellow of INCOSE, he is also a Fellow of IEEE, SDPS, IETE, and an Associate Fellow of AIAA. He has received several prestigious awards from DoD, engineering professional societies, and the commercial sector for his pioneering contributions to modeling and simulation approaches for systems engineering and for innovations in video gaming and virtual reality technologies for military training and mission rehearsal. His research has been sponsored by various organizations within DoD, DHS, MDA, NIST, DTRA, and NASA. His research interests are model-based systems architecting and engineering, modeling and analysis of dynamic social networks, game-based simulations for teaching STEM, and behavioral game theory and interactive narratives for teaching soft skills such as cross-cultural decision making and leadership.
