Whole-Home Electrification IRA Incentives Clean Energy, Energy Efficiency, Charging Infrastructure, and EV Tax Credits Energy Efficient Commercial Building Tax Deduction (179D) Home Energy Rebates*
Home Efficiency Rebates (HER) Formerly Home Energy Performance-Based, Whole-House Rebate (HOMES) Whole-house retrofit incentive for States + U.S. territories Covers single family households and multifamily units/buildings Up to 80% cost coverage for low-income households; 50% for other households Incentive based on modeled and/or measured energy savings of at least 20% Modeled Savings - energy savings estimated before upgrade/project completion Measured Savings energy savings estimated after upgrade/project completion Projects completed starting August 16, 2022, are eligible Incentives range from $2,000 - $8,000 per household/unit $200K - $400K for multifamily buildings May only choose one savings option
Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Formerly High-Efficiency Electric Homes Rebate (HEEH) Point-of-sale rebate for States + U.S. territories + Indian Tribes $14,000 limit per household Only one rebate per tech/equipment Covers single and multifamily households w/ up to 150% AMI Less than 80% AMI up to 100% cost coverage 80% to 150% AMI up to 50% cost coverage Technology/Equipment Rebate Amount Air Sealing Up to $1,600 Breaker Box/Electric Load Service Center Up to $4,000 Electric Stove/Cooktop/Range/ Oven Up to $840 Electric Wiring Up to $2,500 Heat Pump for Space Heating or Cooling Up to $8,000 Heat Pump Clothes Dryer Up to $840 Heat Pump Water Heater Up to $1,750 Insulation Up to $1,600 Ventilation Up to $1,600
